Little faces tell their stories through our artwork, and they enhance it with richness and mystery. In this workshop, you’ll learn how to make and use expressive faces and other small enhancements for three enticing mixed media projects. Lyn Belisle, a studio artist who has researched and used ADC (air dry clay) in exciting new ways for face-making, leads you on a fun, dimensional journey as you create these projects and amaze yourself in the process.
Lyn is a user-friendly and approachable teacher whose videos make you feel as if you’re right there in her Studio. One of the best parts about this class is that you don’t need expensive materials or equipment to achieve stunning results, and even a beginner can shine as Lyn shows you tips and tricks in composition and construction.
Project One is called “Magnetic Attraction.” You’ll create a small art-to-wear collage backed with a magnet that allows you to take it out of its frame and wear it on your sweater, your hat, your scarf = without leaving a hole. Project Two is called “The Artful Journal” and you’ll learn how to make a beautiful art journal that is enhanced with ADC embellishments, including faces, by starting with a blank book. Project Three is a “Shard Pocket Pendant.” For this project, Lyn guides you through constructing a felt pocket pendant ornament that can be both worn and hung as a small wall hanging. No sewing required, and the best part is that you can make this lovely fiber art piece for less than three dollars!
Join Lyn in her Artful Faces class and create not just one, but three beautiful projects that grace your creative life with delighted accomplishment!
