Join me in making these frosty little snow figures that won’t melt anything more than your heart.
Here’s a preview:
Secret#1: They are so super cute, glitzy, & cheerful that everyone that you know will want one–so you can’t make just one.
Secret #2: They are a little fussy/mussy to make but so WORTH it! (skill level intermediate).
Secret # 3: Once you learn the basic construction of this figure, there are so many super cute variations of this project. I provide many inspirational example photos for variations from years of making & hosting holiday art shows.
Secret #4: With quality materials & thoughtful making, these little snow figures will embody the charm of the holiday season. Also, I spill my secret sources for materials as well as the techniques that I have learned in 20+ years of art making involving glitter & glue, integrating wood & textiles, & (my favorite!) figure making & painted surfaces.
Get your holiday groove on & learn more of my art secrets from this fun workshop!

I’m a Midwest girl. Originally from the South side of the Northwoods of Wisconsin, I now live in Hudson, WI & have an art studio in a converted 1914 carriage house surrounded by gardens.
My background is in Art Education & Graphic Design with an emphasis in figurative sculpture. I started selling my artwork when I was 16 & moved on to gallery representation when I was in college. I taught middle school art briefly & spent 15 years doing visual merchandising at an art gallery. Last year, I finally became a full time artist!! Everything had changed a few years ago when my sculptures & art dolls started turning into colorful, textural paintings. Paintings are now my main focus, but I still can’t resist making “achingly cute” figures based on the characters in my paintings.
I’ve designed projects for “Better Homes & Gardens Holiday Crafts Magazine” & have done demonstrations of my art for HGTV’s “Crafters Coast to Coast”. Over the years, my paintings & figures have been displayed in galleries, juried shows, & boutiques throughout the Midwest. I especially love Halloween & was honored to be a part of “Ghoultide Gathering” for many years. This year, I look forward to expressing my sweetly sinister Halloween-y side through “The Bewitching Peddlers of Halloween” & EHAG Emporium.
I’m so very excited to be teaching again & to be putting together a sparkly cheerful online class for my other favorite holiday. These glass glitter snow people are beyond “achingly cute” & I can’t seem to stop making them!
In the meantime, I continue to be inspired by the charm of the small river town that I live in & its proximity to “big city” sophistication. I think that my artwork & paintings embody this spirit: “cheerful simplicity with a retro-modern edge”
