Join Diane Cook in this fun packed class as you spread our wings and fly…discovering that a beautiful one of a kind cuff is simply a wing away.
You will begin by designing a cuff base using a choice of base metal. Then, you’ll explore multiple ways to add gorgeous texture to the metal, which of course, always involves color. The wing component will be included in this step!
Next, it’s time to dive into various cold join connection options, which includes using rivets and tiny metal hardware.
You’ll also be working with metal stamps, as you add a special word to your cuff. This can be done directly onto the cuff base, but Diane finds that the addition of a small stamped piece of metal, gently tucked behind the wing, always adds much more interest to the eye!
And, lastly you will add movement to your cuff. Don’t you just love the sound of that?
Here’s the techniques covered in this class:
• Adding Texture to Metal using the following:
Chisels & Punches
Along with a few other secret ones of mine!
• Cold Join Connections
Tiny Metal Hardware
• Using vintage jewelry
